This is a padel court surface, not a gym or landscape product. It runs a short 15mm KDK crimped pile at 63,000–84,000 tufts/m² — among the densest surfaces we make — because a padel court lives or dies on consistency: the ball must rebound off the glass and come back the same way every time, and players need predictable grip when they slide into a defensive position. A dense, tightly tufted crimped yarn is what delivers that.

Dressing: on a coloured court, carpet and sand are chosen together. We recommend a light silica sand dressing — a small quantity brushed into the pile, which keeps the fibre upright and the surface stable under slides — and on purple or blue carpets a coloured sand in grey, blue or terracotta finishes the court more cleanly than natural sand. An unfilled installation is available if lighter maintenance is the priority.

Purple is one of the standard padel court colours, and it is the colour clubs choose when the court sits against a wall, fence or landscape that would clash with blue. The backing is available as PP + PU (firmer, dimensionally stable, the usual choice for a permanent court) or PP + net + SBR (more tear strength, better drainage in high-rainfall markets).

Why is padel turf so short and so dense?

Padel is played in a glass box where the ball rebounds from the walls. A short, dense pile keeps the roll and the bounce predictable around the whole court. Longer turf slows the ball and makes the rebound inconsistent near the glass.

Which backing should a club choose?

PP + PU for a permanent outdoor court that must stay flat; PP + net + SBR where heavy rainfall and faster drainage are the priority. We quote both so the club can compare.
