51mm Artificial Grass – Diamond Yarn, Most Natural Finish
51mm is the longest pile we make for landscaping, and this build pairs it with diamond-section yarn. Two things happen at that height: the surface sits taller so it reads as real grass from a distance rather than as a low carpet, and each blade is long enough to move slightly in the wind and cast its own small shadow. The diamond cross-section adds more reflective facets, so the lawn changes tone as light moves across it instead of staying one flat colour.
Yarn weight runs 11,100–15,000 Dtex at a density of 13,650–16,800 tufts/m², on a PP + net + PU backing. The PU coating gives the roll dimensional stability; the net layer adds tear strength, which matters on a tall pile where each tuft carries more leverage.

Frequently asked questions
Is 51mm too tall for a garden lawn?
No — it is a deliberate choice for a full, natural look. It does need a properly prepared base so the pile stands rather than sinks, and we will advise on the base specification for your project.
What does the diamond shape do that a flat blade does not?
More angles on the fibre means more variation in how light is reflected. In practice the lawn looks less uniform and more like natural grass, especially in strong sun.
