Description
High Density Football Artificial Grass – 50mm, 10,500–13,000 Tufts/m²
This is the denser end of our 50mm football range. Where the standard build tufts up to 10,500 per m², this one runs to 13,000 tufts/m² with 7,000–13,000 Dtex S-shape yarn. The extra yarn per square metre shows up in three ways on a finished pitch: a fuller surface under the ball, more consistent roll across the whole field, and a slower loss of appearance in the areas that take the most traffic.
Density and yarn quality both drive how long a pitch holds up — see how our turf yarn is engineered for UV and abrasion resistance.

It is the specification we recommend for pitches used several times a week, for club grounds where the surface is part of the club’s presentation, and for projects where the client intends to keep the pitch for a full life cycle rather than a few seasons. UV-stabilised S-shape fibre, perforated PP + net + SBR backing for drainage, and a 50mm pile with sand and performance infill as standard.
Best for
- Club pitches used several times per week
- Competitive fixtures where consistent ball roll is specified
- Projects with a long life-cycle expectation
- Grounds where appearance matters — show pitches, academy fields, stadium surrounds

Frequently asked questions
How much difference does the extra density make?
Density is one of the strongest predictors of how a pitch holds up under heavy use. Extra tufts per square metre mean the surface keeps its level and appearance longer in goalmouths, penalty areas and along the touchline.
Does a denser pitch need different infill?
The infill design is set by the pitch system rather than the turf alone. Send us your system specification and we will confirm the build that matches it.
